Dr Weglein graduated Summa Cum-Laude from University of Texas at Arlington. He graduated with a degree in Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. He initially successfully completed a family residency at the University of Texas. He then completed a Sports Medicine Residency / Fellowship at South Pointe, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. Going on to become the Assistant Program Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship at South Pointe Cleveland, Cleveland Clinic. While in Cleveland he had the opportunity to be a Team Physician for Cirque Du Soleil. He has also been a volunteer Team Physician in the Houston Marathon for the past 3 years.Dr Weglein is Certified in Sports Medicine, Certified in Medical Acupuncture and Certified Regenerative Injection Techniques, AA Orthopaedic Medicine. His Medical Acupuncture training is from University of California in Los Angeles UCLA Medical School, CA, and has been a national speaker on the topic of Acupuncture in Sports Medicine at the Annual American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine. Dr Weglein is faculty at University of Texas Medical School.
