Dr. Ashworth completed her fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of California, San Francisco with a research focus in clinical trials for patients with melanoma. During this time, she deepened her expertise in complex patient care and developed a new curriculum on physician wellness for her colleagues. During her internal medicine residency at Scripps Clinic/Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla, California, she performed research on breast cancer imaging and served on the Hospital Ethics Committee.
