Dr. Chawla received a B.A. in Chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis in 2001.  She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas in 2005.  She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas in 2008.  After residency, she began her Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis which she completed in 2011.
