Dr. Billie Marek is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and also certified with the sub-specialty of medical oncology. Dr. Marek has served on the Board of Texas Oncology since 1994 and is the Medical Director for Texas Oncology, McAllen. He received the Texas Merit Scholarship in 1981 and 1982; Outstanding Intern and Teacher, Department of Medicine, University of Kentucky in 1984; and the 1993 Doctor of the Year award from Rio Grande Regional Hospital.
