A native of Dallas, Texas, Dr. John Phillips received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. His completed his residency in general and orthopaedic surgery at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia. A prior Army officer, Dr. Phillips served as chief of orthopaedic service while stationed at Fort Sill in Oklahoma, both before and after his deployment to Tallil, Iraq.
Dr. Phillips is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Southern Orthopaedic Association. He has extensive experience in orthopaedic trauma care, upper and lower extremity surgery, joint replacement surgery, and sports injuries.
