Dr. Galligan received his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine, where he went on to complete a general surgery internship. He later became an orthopaedic resident at the University of Missouri in Kansas City before completing his fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at the Foundation for Orthopaedic, Athletic and Reconstructive Research (FOARR) in Houson, TX.

Dr. Galligan has been in practice in Omaha since 2006. Throughout his career, Dr. Galligan has served as first aid stand physician for the Kansas City Royals baseball team and assisted in physician management for the Houston Rockets and Rice University athletics.
