Dr. Brinkman, originally from Baltimore, Maryland, earned her Master’s degree in Advanced Head and Neck Anatomy at the University of Maryland. She went on to attend the University of Maryland Dental School, graduating in 2000. Continuing her education at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, she earned her medical degree in 2003.

After completion of her medical degree, Dr. Brinkman continued her surgical training at Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital and Bethesda Naval Hospital. She also received extensive training at the University of Maryland’s Shock Trauma Center where she was honored with the Intern of the Year Award. After finishing her certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2006 she became board certified in 2009.
