Naomi Albertson, MD, is Board Certified in Family Practice and specializes in sports medicine. She received her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Her internship in family practice was completed at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California.

At the Reno Orthopaedic Clinic, Dr. Albertson is part of the sports team. She is not a surgeon but does work closely with the sports medicine orthopaedic surgeons. In addition to facilitating an appropriate work up for surgical problems and treating emergent and non-emergent injuries, she is an expert in the treatment of overuse injuries, sport related nutritional problems, concussion management, guiding athletes of all levels in appropriate activities to minimize injury, and can develop an appropriate personalized exercise program following injury or surgery.
