Dr Gomez is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  Dr Gomez received his BS degree from the University of Miami, his DMD from the University of Florida College of Dentistry, and an MD degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine.  He completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Louisiana State University College of Dentistry, as well as a surgical internship at the Medical Center of New Orleans.  Dr. Gomez was a recipient of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Community and Service Leadership Award for Residents for Hurricane Katrina Efforts.
