Dr. Gary Kaufman is currently the co-medical director of The Spine Center of Southeast Georgia, and has been practicing since 1984. Dr. Kaufman is double board certified in pain medicine and neurological surgery (only a handful in the USA hold these credentials). He received his undergraduate degree from SUNY at Stony Brook, and his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara (half) and SUNY Buffalo (where he graduated and received his degree).
Dr. Kaufman received his doctorate in medicine from State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine in 1978 after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from The State University of New York at Stony Brook. He completed a neurosurgery residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and after retiring from his neurosurgery practice, he completed an Interventional Pain Management fellowship at Georgia Pain Physicians, a division of Emory University Department of PM&R.
