Dr. Kate Westcott grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 2006 and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 from Michigan State University. She completed a one-year small animal medicine and surgery internship outside of DC at VCA Veterinary Referral Associates, and one year of an Emergency and Critical Care Residency outside of Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Westcott has a passion for the variety and complexity of caseload provided by working in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine and is excited by the challenges and rewards it brings. Outside of work Dr. Westcott enjoys running, hiking, skiing, and kayaking. She also enjoys live music, has a deep passion for photography, and is an avid traveler.
