Dr. McKinley’s training allows him to not only treat non-operative orthopaedic conditions, but he is able to treat individuals with other medical conditions in athletes that are not orthopaedic in nature. Dr. McKinley chose to train in sports medicine to gain an added area of expertise to compliment his family medicine training. This also allows him to treat the whole patient (and their family members) for anything from the concussions to strains and sprains. As a former college basketball player, he has a unique insight to understanding what it takes to care for patients eager to return to play. He gains great satisfaction in assisting patients in becoming healthier and returning to their normal activity of daily living.
