Dr. T. J. Rasmussen is a life long resident of Kansas City and a longtime Jayhawk. He attended the University of Kansas for thirteen years; graduating with a bachelors degree in Cellular Biology in 1982, a medical degree in 1986, and completing five-year residency in orthopaedic surgery in 1991. He then completed a fellowship at the Cincinnati Sportsmedicine and Orthopaedic Center in reconstructive knee surgery, sports medicine and biomechanics, finishing in 1992 with a national research award.He has been in private practice since 1992 in Kansas City. He is currently President of the Medical staff at the Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute, Secretary/Treasurer of the Kansas City Orthopaedic Society. Dr. Rasmussen and his partners have been active in the KU orthopaedic residency training program.
