Professionally, Dr Clymer is a self-described “conservative surgeon” who emphasizes non-surgical care whenever possible and stresses thorough patient education and fully informed patient involvement in all treatment decisions. His special interests include total joint arthroplasty, spine, sports medicine and general orthopaedics including both upper and lower extremity problems. He is equally comfortable with pediatric and adult problems. He has been selected as one of the top doctors in Kansas City by his peers in 3 of the past 4 years.Outside the office, Dr. Clymer is a fitness and exercise enthusiast who particularly enjoys snow skiing and water skiing as well as other outdoor activities. He enjoys spending family time with Melanie, his wife of over 35 years, his grown and married children and his new grandson.
