Dr. Jonathan Dyce graduated from University of Cambridge (UK) in 1989 and remained there to train as an orthopaedic surgeon. In 1997, he joined the surgery faculty at The Ohio State University, and is currently associate professor and service head of small animal surgery. Dr. Dyce has over 20 years experience with canine total hip replacement and has now performed over 1,250 THRs using both cemented and cementless prostheses. He is a consultant for BioMedtrix, LLC, the manufacturer of the most commonly implanted THR in dogs. He is a regular speaker at national and international meetings on topics of small animal orthopedics and THR. Among other continuing education responsibilities, he has been the chairperson for the OSU Canine Total Hip Replacement workshop since 2002. Clinical research interests include failure mechanisms and the refinement of canine total hip replacement.
