Dr. Diffell graduated from the Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1972. Since that time, he has practiced continuously in general and emergency medicine. His special interests are internal medicine and laser surgery.

He divides his time between VESH and his hobby farm in Maine, where he enjoys gardening and caring for his horses, chickens, parakeets, dog, and cat. He says that the great thing about Skeldale Farm is that “there is always something that needs to be done.” Dr. Diffell has been married to his wife, Lisa, since 1974. They have two married children and five beautiful grandchildren.
