  • Back traveling again thanks to Dr. Toomey and staff
You have reopened the world for me! Two years since my Right TKR and 5 months since my Left TKR I’m in Italy walking at least 20000 steps a day. Seeing and experiencing life like 20 years ago. I can’t thank you all enough for making it possible to travel again pain free.
  • Excellent doctor
Dr. Toomey did an excellent job with both my arthroscopic knee surgery and total knee replacement surgery. The Swedish Orthopedic Institute is an excellent facility for recovering from the surgery - they know what they're doing! From what I understand, they do thousands of surgeries each year, and you can tell. I had my first knee replacement done elsewhere, and this was a far, far better experience.
  • Total knee replacement
After about 7 years of increasing pain and lessening mobility of my left knee, Walking up and down stairs or inclines was diffifcult, I was referred to Dr. Toomey. After examining my knee, he explained that the discomfort would cycle between good and bad but increasingly be worse and that surgical replacement was inevitable. Several months later I decided to proceed with surgery with Dr. Toomey. I began walking on the new knee shortly after and in a matter of months I was walking normally and for increasing distances. 15 months later, I am easily doing 5 miles, up and down grades and the knee performance is totally normal.
