The Hubrecht Institute for Developmental Biology and Stem Cell Research focuses on developmental biology and stem cells at various levels, i.e. organism, cell, and DNA. In addition to basic research, the institute carries out strategic biomedical and genome research, leading to a better understanding of such diseases as cancer.
