Dr. Monica Romero is a native New Mexican dermatologist who is committed to caring for patients and treating their skin concerns. She graduated from medical school and completed her residency training in Dermatology, at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Dr. Romero has been in private practice at Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center of NM, (DSCCNM) since 2008. In order to stay current in the field of dermatology, she maintains ties with the University of New Mexico Dermatology Department. The focus of her practice is the care of patients with skin cancer and acute and chronic dermatologic diseases. She is particularly interested in prevention, early detection and treatment of all types of skin cancer.Dr. Romero was born and raised is southeastern New Mexico. She currently lives in Albuquerque with her husband and four children.
