Dr. Walker earned his Medical Degree from LSU, in 1978, completed his residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and currently serves as a clinical instructor of orthopaedics at LSU School of Medicine. He is a member of the teaching staff at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, holds certifications from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, the International Society for Clinical Densitometry and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Walker maintained a successful orthopaedic practice in Baton Rouge for 23 years with Orthopaedic Surgery Associates. Upon the retirement of his partners, Dr. Walker joined the Bone and Joint family on January 2, 2007.
