He received his bachelor’s degree from Washington & Lee University and his medical degree from Georgetown University where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his orthopaedic residency training at Duke University where he also worked in sports medicine research.

Dr. Hurst did my left knee replacement and he is very talented. Great bedside manner and all around great doctor. I would recommend him to anyone needing joint replacement. He knows what he is doing. I feel so much better.
