At Cape Cod Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy we concentrate on returning injured people to their activities fitter, faster and stronger than they were before they were injured.

Our main office is in Hyannis, Massachusetts, we also have satellite offices throughout Cape Cod. Our expertise is in knee, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, foot and ankle injuries and the treatment of joint arthritis. We have developed surgical and rehabilitation techniques focused on cartilage, tendon and ligament repair, regeneration and replacement.

  • Highly recommend!
    Before surgery I was in pain, needed assistance putting on my coat, could not reach items on upper shelves and had very little strength in my arm. Dr. Affonso preformed a reverse shoulder replacement which was a total success. I woke up after surgery without pain. I rested at home for 2 weeks and was able to return to work part time after 3 weeks and full time after 6 weeks. I am amazed at the improvement in the function of my shoulder. I highly recommend Dr. Affonso his work is truly amazing

    This doctors office was one of the most organized one I have ever seen. You walk into a nice glass enclosed waiting area where there are 4 receptionist waiting to check you in. I waited maybe 10 minutes in the waiting room which to me is great compared to most orthopedic establishments. The doctor I saw was very nice and explained everything to me as to what his plan was. I would highly recommend this place.

  • I highly recommend Trent and Dr. Willits!
    I saw Trent, a physician's attendant for Dr. Willits. He was fabulous! The office is very busy, as it serves as one of the only orthopedic offices on the cape, so expect to wait and bring a good book. The wait was well worth it, because Trent spent good quality time with me addressing all of my options for my arthritic knees. I have been to many orthopedic doctors in the last several years and he supersedes all others with great service and pain options. I highly recommend Trent and Dr. Willits!
