Dr. Brennan was born and raised in Warwick, RI, attending Bishop Hendrickson High School, and received his BA and MD degrees from Tufts University, in Boston, MA. He was invited to remain at the New England Medical Center for his general orthopedic residency training which he completed in 1994. He then went on to advanced fellowship training in Spinal Surgery at the New England Baptist Hospital until 1995, when he joined West Bay Orthopedics. Dr. Brennan represents the mainstay of Orthopedic Spine care at Kent Hospital, and also performs joint replacement surgery.
Dr. Brennan remains on the cutting edge of Spine surgery technology. He was the first surgeon in Southern New England to perform the X-Stop procedure on patients with spinal stenosis. This clinically proven minimally invasive procedure has provided countless patients with pain relief.
