I've been a patient of Ken Furcolo twice in the last 6 years. I had a torn rotator cuff 6 years ago, and more recently a separated shoulder. On both occassions, his recommendations to pursue physical therapy in lieu of surgery have proved to be the right course (in my book). His personality is pleasant, he is efficient with his time management during the appointment but also does not act like he's in a hurry.
