Dr. Johnston joined Glacial Lakes Orthopaedics in August of 2010 after completing an orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a sports medicine fellowship at the Minnesota Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Institute in Minneapolis, MN.

Dr. Johnston treats a wide variety of orthropaedic conditions and has advanced training in sports medicine and the care of injured athletes. He currently is a member of the Sports Medicine PLUS team and serves as a team physician for the Watertown, Hamlin, and Great Plains Lutheran high schools. Prior to coming to Watertown, Dr. Johnston was an assistant team physician for the University of Minnesota football and wrestling teams, and team physician for the Hamline University football and hockey teams.
