Clifton Smith, M.D., established Kentucky Dermatology & Skin Cancer Clinic in 1973 and the Cosmetic Surgery Center in 1995; both located in the same building at 177 Burt Road, Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Smith specializes in skin cancer, general dermatology, dermatological surgery and cosmetic surgery. He has held live workshops on liposuction and laser resurfacing for other physicians. Dr. Smith uses state-of-the-art equipment in both Kentucky Dermatology & Skin Cancer Clinic and the Cosmetic Surgery Center.

Dr. Smith graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, and received his medical degree from the Washington University, St. Louis. He served as Chief Resident of the Dermatology Department at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He has been an assistant professor at the University of Kentucky since 1973.
