Dr. Aaron M. Pokorny was born and raised in Metro Detroit, and graduated from Troy High School. He attended Michigan State University where he obtained a bachelors of science in Medical Technology in 2001. Dr. Pokorny then attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, and was inducted into the OKU honors society in 2005. Following dental school, Dr. Pokorny entered a 6 year residency program for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Louisville. While at Louisville, Dr. Pokorny was awarded a medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, and completed a full year of residency in General Surgery.
