Ahdev Kuppusamy, M.D. is an anesthesiologist and interventional pain specialist whose primary goal is to improve the quality of life of his patients and their families.

Dr Kuppusamy was born in Puerto Rico, and speaks Spanish fluently. After graduating from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) with his medical degree, Dr. Kuppusamy completed a residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in pain medicine at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Dr. Kuppusamy believes in placing patients’ needs first and treating them with the same respect and compassion with which he would treat his own friends and family members. Dr. Kuppusamy has a down-to-earth approach to medicine, and places a high emphasis on the doctor-patient relationship. He stresses the idea that a major role of a physician is to educate patients regarding their ailments and all their available treatment options.
