Dr. Alexander Pruitt specializes in shoulder, knee, hip treatments and surgery. With over 20 years of proven experience, he knows what works best depending on the patient’s health status, lifestyle, occupation, and recreational activities. From the high performance amateur athlete on the playing fields to the golfer hammering away on the local links, Dr. Pruitt is vested in keeping his patients healthy and active.Dr. Pruitt was raised in western Iowa. After growing up in Council Bluffs, he earned his undergraduate degree from the prestigious United States Military Academy at West Point. Recieving high academic marks, he earned admission into the Creighton University medical school training program. His internship and residency were done at Fitzimons Army Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. Upon leaving government service, Dr. Pruitt returned to his home state to practice orthopaedics and sports medicine in Spencer and the surrounding communities.
