Dr. Ashley Smit comes to Minnesota from the state of Kansas.  She attended Kansas State University for undergrad, studying biology, music and Spanish.  She continued at KSU for veterinary school and will always be a Wildcat at heart!  She joined the VCA family in 2012, completing a one year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Veterinary Care in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  In her free time Dr. Smit loves being outdoors with her black lab Gus, swimming, hiking, and listening to live music.
