He went on to complete a fellowship in Adult Lower Extremity Reconstruction at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr. McArthur has published numerous peer reviewed articles and has presented both national and internationally on topics related to hip and knee replacement. He is a reviewer of current research for the Bone and Joint Journal, Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research, and the Journal of the Hospital for Special Surgery.

My hip replacement was a complete success with no complications. What sets Dr. McArthur apart is his unfailing kindness. You are not at your best when you are a patient and this kindness is very encouraging. To me he is a perfect doctor.

I considered other older, well established surgeons before choosing Benjamin McArthur. His sensitivity and seriousness were what I needed to overcome my fear of the hip replacement operation itself, and the long, recovery period that would follow (at least enough to get on with it!). I am so glad that, in the end, I went with my intuition instead of the Washington buzz as to who was 'the best'.
