Dr. Holt was born in Florence, Alabama and grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Dr. Holt is Board Certified and joined Columbia Orthopaedic Group in 1994. He specializes in treating arthritic conditions of the hip and knee. He uses various approaches including non-surgical treatment such as physical therapy, oral medications, or injections. He also practices surgical approaches such as arthroscopy, joint resurfacing surgery, or joint replacement surgery.

Dr. Holt believes that the art of orthopaedic surgery is determining which treatment is appropriate for each patient’s particular condition and situation. Dr. Holt continues to be a leader in joint replacement surgery. He performed the first Birmingham Hip Resurfacing procedure in mid-Missouri. He was the first to use the gender-specific knee replacement.
