Benjamin Thompson, MD is board-certified in both Sports Medicine and orthopaedic surgery, with sub-specialty training in arthroscopic surgery and the treatment of sports-related injuries. He joined Access Sports Medicine after spending three years at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Milton, MA where he played an integral role in the development of an Orthopaedic Center of Excellence.

A New England native, Dr. Thompson attended Boston College High School and continued on to earn his Bachelor’s in Clinical Psychology from Tufts University and a certificate from Harvard University in Pre-Medical Studies. He received his medical degree at Albany Medical College in 2004 where he graduated near the top of his class and won awards for excellence in Clinical Pathology.
