Dr. Brooke Martin was born and raised in Burke, South Dakota, on her family’s farming and ranching operation. She attended Chadron State College in western Nebraska for her undergraduate studies and veterinary school at Kansas State University graduating in 2009. After graduation, she completed a one year equine internship at Glenwood Veterinary Clinic in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Brooke moved to the Kansas City area in July 2010, and was practicing in the Northland prior to joining Strain Equine Services.

She has a special interest in equine surgery, medicine, and dentistry. When not working, Brooke enjoys spending time with her son, Mason, her fiancé, Skeet, and his three children, Cole, Cody, and Caycee. They have two australian shepherds named Hank and Bella, two cats named Cowboy and Buddy, and one horse named Mick.
