Dr. Smith is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and is a retired colonel of the United States Air Force. He attended medical school at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD. He received his training in orthopedic surgery at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, TX. He continued his education by completing a Fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at the University of Iowa. While in the Air Force, he served as Chief of Staff and Chairman of the Department of Surgery. Dr. Smith has more than 25 years of experience in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. He has worked with sports teams at the high school and collegiate levels. In 2003 he moved to Cheyenne, and has been proudly serving our community since.
