Dr. Wallis grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. He earned a BA in Humanities from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and then moved back to Ohio in 2004 to attend dental school at the Ohio State University. After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2008, he entered active duty service in the United States Air Force. As a Captain in the Dental Corps, he attended the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Wallis and his family then moved to Spokane, Washington where he served as a dental officer at Fairchild AFB.
After completing his service with the Air Force, Dr. Wallis began residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Cincinnati. Along with proficiency in the full scope of oral and facial surgical procedures, this rigorous four-year residency program included training in adult and pediatric anesthesia, internal medicine, emergency medicine, general surgery, trauma surgery, plastic surgery, ENT head and neck surgery and critical care medicine.
