Dr. Horner was raised in Goldston, North Carolina. She received her undergraduate Biology degree from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with an emphasis in Zoology in 2003. Dr. Horner then received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. George’s University and finished her clinical year at North Carolina State University in 2009.

Her main clinical interests include surgery and pain management. Outside the hospital she enjoys spending time with her husband, their two dogs, Toby and Hubbles, and chinchilla, Sookie.
