Dr. Catherine “Caety” Schmidt was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1980 from Baylor University and earned her medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in 1983. Dr. Schmidt performed her internship at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1985, completed her residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Oklahoma in 1987, and earned her Fellowship in Anesthesiology in 1988.
Dr. Schmidt obtained her lifetime board-certification in 1988, however she voluntarily re-certified in 2009. Dr. Schmidt continually receives training in Anesthesia and Pain Management procedures. She is the Chief of Anesthesiology at West Park Hospital, Medical Director at Northern Wyoming Surgical Center, and serves as President of the Wyoming Society of Anesthesiologists.
