Dr. Chris Kinney was born and raised in the Midwest and has lived in Indiana since 1974. He received his B.S. in biology from Harding University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Indiana University School of Dentistry. In 1988, he completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at Indiana University Medical Center. Dr. Kinney brings close to 30 years of private practice experience to his patients. He opened an individual OMS specialty practice in Anderson, Indiana in the fall of 1988.

After practicing for 25 years, he partnered with Dr. Papadopolous and together they founded East Central Indiana Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ECIOMS) in 2012. Dr. Kinney currently practices at ECIOMS locations and his private practice. He holds staff privileges at Anderson Community Hospital. Dr. Kinney has been married for 34 years and has three children. He enjoys a variety of activities including running, cycling, scuba and woodworking.
