Dr. Pinkas is a board eligible Orthopaedic surgeon by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) and has added subspecialty qualification in surgery of the shoulder and elbow. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Pinkas grew up in Tampa, Florida, and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Miami in 2003. She received her medical doctorate from the University of Miami in 2007, after which she completed her orthopaedic residency at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in New York City. She then went on to complete an Adult Reconstruction Shoulder and Elbow fellowship at the renowned William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
