Dr. Hockman is a Missouri native who completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia and then remained in Columbia to attend medical school at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Kansas-Wichita. Dr. Hockman went on to become a fellow at The Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic and Research Institute in Alexandria, Virginia where he focused on adult reconstructive surgery.

In 2003, the Columbia Orthopaedic Group recruited Dr. Hockman to continue to “define excellence” in hip and knee replacement surgery. Since that time, he has performed over 3,000 primary and revision total knee replacements and over 1,000 primary and revision hip replacements on patients from across the country.
