Dr. McGuffin began his career in a large and small animal practice at Amanda Animal Hospital in Lancaster, Ohio before joining Riverside in 1987. He currently serves as the medical director of Riverside Animal Care Center, where he is a partner/owner, and serves as a vice president for BVH, Inc., the corporation that owns Riverside Animal Care Center and Beechwold Veterinary Hospital.  Dr. McGuffin became board certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practioners in canine and feline medicine in 1996.  There are only a hand full of ABVP diplomates in Ohio
