Dr. Gossett has ties to the St. Joseph and surrounding areas. His grandfather was born and raised in Filmore, Missouri and his grandmother was raised in Mound City, Missouri. He routinely visited St. Joseph as a youth and later married his wife, Sheryl, who was born and raised in Albany, Missouri. Returning to the St. Joseph area was a natural transition for Dr. Gossett and his family.

He raised both of his children in St. Joseph and they attended Central High School. His daughter, Lauren Windhorst, has recently finished her graduate training in Orthodontics and is practicing in St Joseph, Missouri and owns Choice Orthodontics.
