Dr. Lombardo received his medical degree with an honorary recognition in research. While in medical school he received several awards including the Excellence in Research Award. After his residency in general surgery Dr. Lombardo completed a residency in Orthopedic Surgery. In 2005 he was named the Orthopedic Surgery Resident of the Year in 2005. Dr Lombardo completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction making him a joint replacement specialist.
Dr. Lombardo is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeon. He has authored or co-authored over a dozen journal articles and has presented numerous presentations sharing his expertise. With his love for teaching, Dr. Lombardo spent the early years of his career teaching others and continues to share his knowledge with both his patients and their families.
