Dr. J. Desmond Ward was born in New York, New York.  He graduated from Riverdale Country School in 1987 and Union College in Schenectady, New York 1991. He then attended New York University College of Dentistry.  After earning his degree in 1996, Dr. Ward completed a General Practice Residency at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center and was awarded a fellowship from Columbia University. Afterward, he received a Certificate of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, New York in 2002.  Dr. Ward then entered private practice.
