After graduating from Texas A & M University with a degree in Biology, Dr. Hanratty received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1983. In 1988, he obtained his certificate in Periodontics at the Tufts School of Dental Medicine. In addition, he completed a certificate in Implantology at the Branemark Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.

Dr. Hanratty is a former Assistant Clinical Instructor at Tufts University, and he is currently a visiting lecturer in Periodontology and Implantology at Tufts University and Harvard University. His private practice focus is on Implants and Soft Tissue Grafting.
