Dr. John Chatas was born and raised in Ann Arbor Michigan. He earned a Masters Degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and a Medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1987. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan and became a Board Certified Anesthesiologist in 1991.
Dr. Chatas has been a member of the Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital (SJMH) medical staff in Ann Arbor as an Interventional Pain Specialist since 1991. Dr. Chatas has hospital privileges at Promedica (Bixby Hospital), Providence Hospital in Novi, and the SJMH partner hospitals in Saline, Chelsea, and Howell. Dr. Chatas is a founding partner of Michigan Pain Specialists (MPS)..

wonderful doctor.

Such a wonderful doctor. Great patient care, bedside manner, full of knowledge. I wouldn't know what I would do without him. He tried a couple different procedures on me until he found out what would work for me. He didn't give up. Also he sent me to other doctors that were also just as good as him, for physical therapy and a neurologist. He also has a GREAT staff which makes very visit so much better!
