Dr. John McAllister joined Advanced Bone & Joint in 1989. Prior to becoming part of the practice, he received his medical degree from Washington University’s School of Medicine and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He received his American Board of Orthopedic Surgery certification in 1991 and has since been recertified twice.

Dr. McAllister is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, Arthroscopy Association of North America, St. Charles/Lincoln County Medical Society, and Missouri State Medical Association. He is currently affiliated with Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital and Progress West HealthCare Center. He also is a partial owner in NovaMed Surgery Center of St. Peters.
