Dr. Kevin Rutz earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas and his Doctorate in Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. After completing his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois and his Spine Fellowship at Orthopedic Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana, Dr. Rutz joined Orthopedic Specialists in 2003.

Dr. Rutz is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and specializes in the operative and non-operative treatment of neck and back conditions. His clinical interests include minimally invasive lumbar spine surgery, accelerated rehabilitation, scoliosis surgery, cervical spine surgery, and kyphoplasty. He continues to participate in training in the latest techniques to diagnose and treat spinal conditions both operatively and non-operatively.
