Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Kurt Jones is a first generation son of Jamaican parents. He started his education at the University of Maryland at College Park where he received a BS degree in Neurobiology and Physiology. Dr. Jones continued his education at Howard University College of Dentistry where he received his D.D.S. degree in 2003. After dental school, Dr. Jones returned home to New York, where he completed a one year General Practitioner Residency at The Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. Realizing that his passion lied in the surgical aspect of dentistry, Dr. Jones completed his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University Hospital in 2008. As part of his surgical training, Dr. Jones completed a craniofacial rotation with Dr. Jeffery Posnick, where he learned advanced techniques in the diagnosis and treatment of dentofacial deformities.
